Description:
The MCC7210.2 is the new standard GPIB controller chip replacing the NEC uPD7210. Like many OEMs facing the phasing out of the NMOS NEC uPD7210, Measurement Computing needed a replacement and needed it to embrace the latest technology, preserve legacy code and circuitry, and be available at a great price. So we designed one from the ground up.
IEEE-488.2 (GPIB) Compatibility:
The MCC7210.2 adheres to ANSI/IEEE Standard 488-1978, an update to the IEEE-488.2 specification. The IEEE-488 bus or GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) is a standard for instrumentation communication and control for instruments from manufacturers the world over.
